Hi,

I've caught pike on fly in my local canal, but would like to start fly-fishing for them (and perch) on the Wye (around Builth).

Anyone fly-fished for either species on the upper Wye?
What flies did you find worked for you?

I think red is the best attractor for pike and perch but thats just me , Even when i am spinning I put small piesces of red wool on the treble and get better results than without

not done any fly fishing for pike, but in terms of colours of lures, great colour patterns that always banked fish (on canals atleast) were green mackerel, firetiger and redhead/white body.
