Try Whitesprings, I fish with a fly there and many others, have had fish to 27lb on a fly there.

Hi Stalker,
A particularly nice lake lake that I fished on the fly for rudd seemingly aeons ago was Llantrythyd - quite near you really. There are carp there too ( not sure if they run as big as Dai's monsters) so it's probably worh a crack. Belongs to glam anglers who own a couple more carp lakes in the Vale -Treoes and Pysgodlyn Mawr

(mags still bearing up!)

Thanks all,
I think I will try Glam anglers, wonder if they do day tickets?
Whitesprings will also be worth a visit Dai.
Matt-when I asked June at Sevenoaks she said they didn't allow fly for the carpIf you go again and try,I wouldn't mind joining you.

What you will find, is that a lot of waters will not let you fly fish or floater fish. because you are putting frebbies and the birds get on the and some anglers not watching what they are doing and get hooked in to birds, and the owners worry about the do goodies reporting them.
