Default My first pike on the fly !!

well chuffed , i got my first pike on the fly this afternoon [ which i will call micro pike ] and it was also a home tied flee it fell for !!

heres a pic ,

went back easily/healthy as the hook fell out as it was being landed [ i mean scooped ]

iv never caught a trout over 2.5lbs and id say this wee pike fought better than that 2.5lb rainbow lump !!!!

yup iv not long got the reel but its a great peice of kit , 3 spare spools and its a matter of seconds to change them .

i must get myself out to do some pikeing ,thinking of trying the canal early one morning.

That looks like one of the platforms on the canal that the fish is resting on..am i right?

well done on getting your first pike to the fly, just wait till you get one about 7 or 8lbs, then you really do get a good scrap!

Nice on Marky especially on a pattern of your own making... there's no going back after the old water wolf on the fly especially after your first double on the fly. Well done.
