Default A Chewstatic day on the pike!

OK a big thank you to Toby (wcb) my boat partner for yesterday... I missed the PFFA do on Chew and Toby bought my seat as he'd got his cheque in late!!

Toby and I therefore decided to meet up and I tied in seeing a client in Bristol on the Thursday... Handy!!

We had a great day boating 15 fish and probably losing as many... including a biggie...

I've got a report and piccies on the blog - enjoy (cos I did)!

I to had a great time and it was great to meet up.

It was a good day for the Pike it was such a shame that big girl got away.

Still there is always next time.

Interesting write up - thanks.

I fished there earlier in the week and had a very slow time - I couldnt find pike anywhere. Fished water from 18" to 25 ft deep and had one fish of less than a pound........No sign of fish anywhere - apart from suicidal trout (even on pike sized flies) !

Yes, they were saying that at Woodford on Thursday... I have a more scientific approach that I take note of and my day just happened to fall on one of those days It worked on Friday

Or your ghillie in the morning!!! LOL

I know that everyone goes on about bait in the water and if it ain't there etc etc BUT I do believe in the forces of nature... air pressure, cloud cover... etc etc... maybe it's just another confidence thing!!

True. I am with you on that. But even then you can just never tell
