I have used the equivalent by Mason , very tough but extremely thick for its breaking strain , I am not convinced of its merits.

I believe it's the same trace material that Alan Hanna recommends in his 'Fishing for Big Pike' book and there can be no doubt that it is bite resistant. The argument is over whether it is bite proof.

As you have probably gathered there has been plenty of debate over this...!

I have used it without any problems, but two af my friends lost two big pikes in Sweden using this, so I can not recommend it whole hearted
