Looking to fish a stillwater tueday/wednesday

A purpose built flood relief water.

Situated ½ mile south of the Sixfields Leisure Complex, off the A45 ring road. The main car park is at the bottom of the lane after crossing the river.

Bream to 9lbs, carp to 29lbs, chub to 6lbs, crucian carp to 3lbs, golden orfe, perch to 3lbs. roach, rudd and tench to 7lbs.



What flies should i use?
any allrounders?

Assuming the water isn't frozen Craig, I would just try to spot anything moving near the surface.
If you do see movement, try and put a dry fly as close as possible, it may work, if not twitch the fly a bit to induce a take.
Start with something black and be prepared to try a few patterns.

Its not the water im worryed about :/ extra layers i guess

If it is a flood relief water, it could be well colored plus very cold now. sounds like you would have a hard time with a fly.
