Default Chub fishing in winter

Been thinking about fly fishing for chub in winter for some time now, but I am stuck on what flies to use.

I have caught chub in summer on a size 12 dry fly....a black hopper on the River Nidd at Cowthorpe. One on the Wharfe on a size 14 Snipe & Purple. And a few small fish on a different river.

Now I want to catch bigger chub on my local river.

My question is, what wet flies should I use? Presumably they should be heavily weighted to reach the bottom!?!

Any advice would be great.
