That must have been "interesting"!

At least one of the biggest on a fly I'm sure.

You might have an IGFA world record there

I have also heard of slightly bigger fish on the fly (I believe John Wilson had a 40 from Hommersfield)

Its a truelly fantastic feat though, jealous as hell..well done!..get it in some of the carp mags

Can't wait for Fox to bring out the Elite Carp Fly rod and bivvy package

Hi Billy, only playing mate, As regards fishing up here no problem your welcome any time

Garioch, Thanks for comments, did not know that Wilson had a 40 off Hommerfield cracker. i did hook a very big fish a known 45lb plus fish but lot it. to much week in the lake as always these days.

I did say i would post photo of fly, here it is i call it the damsel muddler. also tie it up with lead on the shank to fish sub sub-face, have had days were they will not take off the surface and flies need to fish sub-surface, i always have a mix of flies to cover it. like these tied on a Dai-Riki pattern 270. like the curve in shank seem to hook them up wellsome times.
