Very good from the boat but I am almost sure there is no fishing allowed on Sundays on Loch Lomond, unless you poach!

You can fish Lomond on any day of the week for Pike. If you are fishing from a boat it gives you a better chance. If you want to fish the bank the best time to catch some of the larger residents is when there has been a load of rain and the water levels are high.

Good Luck

News to me...Pike fishing has been going on on a Sunday for at least the 25 years I have fished it..unless there has been a sudden change of rules!!

Some will tell you there is now a permit required for Pike at £2.50 available from McFarlanes boat yard, where you can hire a boat...on a sunday ..but there is a question as to the legality of charging for the coarse fish so most bank anglers do not bother.

Just now the Pike are going to be hunting the trout that are starting to gather at the mouths of any burns or rivers running in. The Endrick Bank and drop off is always a good place to start!

Well, it looks like my permit conditions (I am a full member) sent with my ticket a few years ago are wrong or,as a member, my ticket only gives me a right to fish Monday-Sat:

Permission to fish for Salmon seatrout brown trout and coarse fish

blah de blah de blah

No Sunday fishing.....

No yea cannae.

You can fish for migratory fish & Brown Trout within the appropriate season as stipulated on the permit. Monday-Saturday inclusive (No Sunday Fishing)
Pike & any other resident fish included.
You can however apply for a permit to fish for Pike Perch etc out with the "normal " fishing season ie Winter & does not include Sunday But you have to apply to the secretaries for the permit before hand. You are not allowed to use live bait anymore.
Now having said all that this for some years ago when I was a full member. It may have changed re the Pike bit but the Game fish rules hold true.
Tight lines
Quick check reveals it is £2.50 a day for coarse fish & £25 a season No Sunday Fishing So the above has changed slightly.
