Default pffa fenland flyer 2008 charity event

the pffa would like to welcome you to take part in our last event of the year
which is our annual charity fund raising event for the Anthony Nolan bone marrow trust on Sunday November 9th to be fished on the old Bedford river at welney in Cambridge its open to anyone but the only method allowed on the day is fly fishing for pike no lures or spinners allowed
you can book your place by sending a cheque for £15 made out to the Anthony Nolan bone marrow trust include a stamp addressed envelope

the draw on the day will be at the lamb and flag public house (next to the venue) walk off at 9 am fishing AM till 3.30PM food and prize giving in the village hall after

important notice all participants must have the correct unhooking equipment
a 9#weight / 10#wieght rated rod set of scales and a pike retaining tube

any questions just contact peter or my self and we look forward to seeing you there

plus entering in to any of the pffa members only events will mean your name goes in to the hat for the mentieth event draw we are now taking names of members for our annual yearly event on chew as well so another good opportunity to fish not only some of the best pike waters in the u.k. but with very experienced pike fly anglers as well so for more details check out the pffa website @ www.pffa.co.uk

I take it my #12 rod is completely ineligible.


Please tell me why that would be.
I assume there's absolutely no point in my turning up with such equipment?

I suspect Pikey, that P-F-A meant a minimum of a 9 or 10 wt rod as this is what the PFFA promote as a good rating for a pike fly rod (unless you are on the big trout waters). You would probably have been a bit overgunned with a 12wt in the fens anyway,

pikey you are more than welcome to fish our events with a 12# weight rated rod like Andrew says its a minimum requirement for our events the 9#/10# weight rated
