keeper is on a distinguished road
Default arm ache!!

Took a couple of hours down at a club lake this afternoon, armed with only my box of carp flies and an 8# rod and some 8lb tippet, and had a blast!A lot of rain this morning put off the coarse anglers as i had the place to myself, and by the time i arrived at 2pm the carp were every where up on the surface cruising actively, just perect for the fly. Was straight into fish on the fritz carp flies, and forced myself to keep moving by catching a fish in every swim, then moving on. Once again the fish that cruise at a fair pace were very easy to catch as long as the cast was accurate, and the fly hovered right on his nose, but the fish that just hang there sunbathing were more tricky. To catch these you have to cast within a couple of inches of his gob to get him to take, but a fly falling out of the sky and landing that close to him often spooks them. Noticed today that some were willing to follow down the fly if it sank a bit too quick. Anyway 18 carp from 5-10lb ish in 2 hours, brilliant!
