Very nice, well tied flies. What's the thinking behind the middle pattern? Are they all tied on Aberdeen sea hooks?

The middle pattern is for a customer he said he fishes a lake that has good head of small tench, so thats what I came up with. I use Varivas Bigmouth hooks, really sharp and strong..

Rich.

Nice ties, have you ever used sakuma mantas? The 540 is the same pattern as the big mouth but better value

Hi, Wilkie and mart

I use mainly EP fibres for most of my flies except when doing the flashtail whistlers(bucktail)

I havent tried the 540s yet as I buy the bigmouths in bulk

Regards Rich.
