Default Saltwater Seatrouting ,what Fly ?

Any one any suggestions on what to cast at sea trout in saltwater.Fishing in south east Ireland not Denmark.

not tried myself but would imagine sandeel immitation would be a good one to try!

they will take standard patters like butchers, alexandra, minkies in the fly selection.

I fished sea trout in the sea in Orkney for decades, and without a shadow of a doubt orange is the colour.

Try a bog standard Whisky Fly - first class.

My other favourite was a zonker tied like this:
Body: Pearl fritz
Rib: Silver wire
Wing: Muskrat strip
Hackle: Hot-orange hen, tied long.

I fished this in the estuary of Loch Erne in Ireland with great success.

mickey finn tied with arctic fox is my number one in shetland, with a fry pattern a close second.
