Default Pike have woken up

Best of 6 on sunday on the Stour in Dorset, and I contrived to lose or miss as many again.
3ft long nose to fork, I guess about 15lb. get out there before the spawn starts.

Nice fish. Caught my first one on the fly last Saturday, only a very small one, but its a start, missed a hell of a lot more. When do pike usually start spawning?

Interesting, I've been heading up to Cavan (from Dublin) since before xmas trying to get a pike on the fly, no success yet. With trout fishing starting on Sat I thouht it would have to wait until the next winter. But the Figile....interesting. Could have some 50/50 days early season! Liffey for trout, Figile for pike.

Thanks
