I have tried quite a few synthetic hair and wig materials and the best by far IMHO is kanekolon jumbo braid hair material from e.g. KK Jumbo Braid very cheap and a huge range of useful colours. I rarely use anything else now for pike and saltwater flies.

What is the texture of the material like and when tied are the tales like marabou or buck tail? Thanks.

I use the same stuff (KK) from a place called buyhair. A lifetimes supply of any colour you like is about £2.

They supply straight and crinkled hair. It is much coarser than marabou, but still has plenty of movement in the water.

Hope this helps.
