Default Corrib Saturday October 8th... Any takers?

Late notice i know, but.....

Anyone want to fish for pike on Corrib tomorrow (Saturday) ?

I will be hunting big pike, going to places i know they like to hang out....

Give me a shout on here, or email johnjamesomalley@gmail.com ASAP.

Only requirement is that you are prepared to fish hard, and not worry about such trivial things as waves, wind rain, etc. (I don't think it will be too wet)

Here's a couple of fly caught pike to whet the appetite. The 21lber (top pic) was taken on Corrib in August. Don't know the weight of the bottom fish...

Well Stevie,
Better pic all right.. As a matter of interest what weight would u put the bottom one, based on the top one being 21lb ? Kinda hard to say isn't it?

Looks like i will only be fishing the Saturday.. What date you on about coming down?

Cheers
JJ

I would love to go jj but unfortunately have a prior commitment. Have never fly fished for pike before but would love a crack at them.

Well folks,

In case anyone is wondering i fished for 3 hrs and had one fish, 15lb 13oz..
No pic unfortunately as i fished alone and it was pouring rain so didn't bother with the camera.... Great battle though. Fish took about 30 yards of line in one run..

I was that depressed after the rugby i almost didn't bother going, but eventually manned up and headed out...

Cheers,
JJ

Well done jj on picking yourself up after the match. Really thought after beating the Aussies we had a real chance of going at least to the final.
