Hi Snib - welcome to the forum.

I'm a member of the Paisley Abercorn so also fish the Gryffe but a wee bit downstream from where your ticket covers. Have still to be lucky enough to catch a grayling but I've heard they're there somewhere - only been a member a couple of years and have only tried targeting the grayling a couple of times without success.

Don't know anything about the upper stretches of the Gryffe beyond BOW but will ask a couple of guys I know who do fish it and get back to you with any useful information.

Regards

Peter G

Hello Snib,

I think there's a couple of members of the forum in the Strathgryffe AC.
Pretty sure Daver (Dave Downie) was/is a member, and if anyone will know ...

Good luck,
Tony

Grayling are present in the lower stretches of the S/Gryffe AC water from Quarriers Road bridge thats the very bottom of their water up to say the junction with the green water. Good pools are Blackie junction pool and Green water junction pool with pools in between also the pool immediately above quarriers bridge. Grayling are few and far between on this stretch.
The best area for grayling abercorn above and below Crosslee bridge
I hope this helps
