He can but who will report him.I certainly wouldnt report anyone. It the job of the fisheries to catch these people.Anyway I think reporting people is a low down scumbag act!!

Killing 3 fish like that is a "low down scumbag act". Reporting him is a waste of time, a fishery office has to catch him in the act, ie: be at the quey side as he pulls ashore.... I resently caught my fish ferox, 11lb 9oz on Lough Mask and TBH I don't know how anyone could put a prist to one. Don't get me wrong I do take a few fish for the table (not so much recently) but these fish are a gift. Don't know how anybody could whack one of the head and f**k it into the bottom of the boat. The one I released swam just under the surface for about 10yds then drifted down. I can still see the fish just under the surface and it's a memory that will stay with me a lot longer then a bit of smoked trout on a poxy piece of brown bread....

So reporting poachers is the scum bag act ? how are the fisheries board to catch anyone if anglers dont report poachers, its not exactly like they can be every where at once.
Can you at least slash his tyres, take a hammer to his boat or loosen the shear pin on the prop ?

well I aint going risking falling out with locals over a few fish.It would be the same for everyone.Nobody wants to be considered a "rat" as they say.Certainly wont resort to
criminal damage over it!!!!!!!!!!!

And its not poaching really. Its fishing with some stupid bye laws that will never be enforced no more than that 4 fish bag limit and the 13inch rule.

Does anybody here think that everyone who fishes mayfly has a measure in their boats.not likely!!"Looks good enough"

Hate to be dropping the bomb here but need to face up to the facts I think! There are
a huge amount of ferox being killed because of new found methods.

Anyway this is a pike thread so should get back to the point

So folks,

Just wondering if anyone has been out after pike on the fly on Lough Corrib?
I've not been out in a month, but thinking of getting out there Saturday.

Not sure if anyone is actually targetting Pike on the fly on Corrib these days?

Below is the best pike i took on Corrib in 2011. Weighed 21lb, returned to live another day.... I'm setting myself a very ambitious target of a 25lb plus fish this year.. No harm in aiming high !!!
