Default Big Barbel on the fly...

Just thought i'd share a couple of pictures with you guys, had one of those special fishing moments yeaterday when everything just sems to "click". Needless to say i'm still playing the whole thing over in my head with a idiots grin on my face.

That is superb Graham! I know you've been waiting a while for that magic Barbel moment and it looks like the wait was worthwhile...

Catching a Barbel on the fly is something I really hope to emulate at some point soon.

Graham, the fly is indeed just lead, painted white then with glass paints to your taste, not my idea but a good one!

The caught fish was with another barbel, the fly cast ahead and trundled to both, the pictures say the rest although the full story is on the blog

Bruce, the only scales to hand went to 7lb which bottomed out, 8-9lb I guess, certainly felt like it!
