Default pike flies

Last summer my mates were down at Pitsford and were getting bitten off using trout sized lures and blobs. They are booked to go back in june and are going to give the pike a go. As they dont tie there own, they have asked me to rattle up a few lures for the "corner of the box."
Have found a pack of 10, 4/0 hooks from my sea fishing days and was looking for some simple patterns to knock up.
This is very much a side line for them so nothing to fancy please.
Thanks in advance, Graham

Graham have a look here - its easier than it looks, just remember to wax the dubbing loop and keep it horizontal whilst "loading" it with flashabou.

You could also try this one. Its much easier to tie and doesnt use up so much flashabou.

I can vouch for baltic's 2nd recommendation, its a simple tie and very efficient. Mind to add on the dumbell eyes as they make the fly rise and fall as you retrieve.....bang, fish on!
