Default Bristol Chub

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone could advise me of the best place to try for chub on the fly in the Bristol area? I've been down the Avon but haven't seen much surface activity (I'd like them on the dry but not fussy).

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Many thanks in advance,

Tom

Hi Tom,

The Chub in the Avon are quite opportunistic so if you if you spot one try covering it with a large juicy dry and it will probably take it provided it is in relatively shallow water. I have caught plenty like this and it's great fun!
