One of the great cons of modern fly tackle selling is the stickering up of rods with a specific target species .

This confuses the innocent into buying a very ordinary stick under the delusion that it has been specifically designed for wonder performance quite specifically against ( in this case ) Pike and Seltwater .

Any damned 9/10 will do a 9/10 job !

Go for either a good one or a cheap one and never forget that the folks who specified it and are trying to sell it to you probably do less fishing than you do - they are , however far better at marketing !

I agree 100% Steve, it just confuses the buyer, especially if their not sure what their after in the 1st place. When I worked in a tackle store I got fed up being asked for species specific rods, I used to say its up to you what you catch on it or not !
