To make it into a 10 weight I take off 5ft. Can't comment on the #9.

Cheers

Go to Rio products, on the internet, look under "speciality fly lines" and choose "outbound" and scroll down to the "custom cut" section. It gives you various length/weight options. Take your pick and away you go....providing you know what weight you need to load your rod.

Go here to take a look at conversion to grains

then go here to convert +/- to AFTMA

cut back slowly - and cast a while before making a final decision its subject to 'personal feeling' as well

RIO recommend as guide a 9# 25ft and a 10# 28ft

If you cut them a bit longer than these and test cast trimming the length until you get best feel for each rod and your own casting preferences.

I've still got a spool of T-11 that I sell by the foot or as ready made tips etc.

Greg does exceeding good tips with T11 and his loops are excellent ,i use shortish lengths to fine tune sink rates for deep fishing ,it is a good way to have flexible triple sink rate shooting heads .

loops are rather good
