i had to give my new 9ft 5wt zxl a test run , but river season starts on april 1st down here so i had to go to a local lake . the results for 1 hrs fishing 2 carp 6/7 lb each.

it was on a immitation pellet,hand made by cork and counterweighted. the reel is a vision cdc 7/8 ,i sold it a while back and missed it so i bought it back off the buyer yes the 5wt did bend nicely but it has some backbone. it will be tested on 20lb'ers in the spring at my favorite sopt on a river "somewhere"
