Thumbs up Carp on the fly First

I have just got back from my tiny local water and after 3 hours I have finaly caught my first carp on a fly infact I caught 2. Both took a black beetle fly the nearest I could get to a bonio. They completely ignored Blobs, Boobies, Sedge, and blood worm flies.

5 1/2lb and 6lb.

try a pheasant tail nymph for the carp, i have seen lots of carp swimming around in shoals on one of my clubs stillwaters over the years (it used to be a carp lake before being stocked with trout) and they never bothered with any flies i was using for the trout until i tried a pheasant tail last year, they love the fly and give really good sport
