After a long wait due to the lousy weather all day, the wind eased the sun came out and the water calmed down, but no fish seen? tossed out a few biscuits and waited, nothing? moved to another area repeated and again nothing, so moved again! this time there was a swirl on the surface - At last I had found something to cast to! half an hour later all I had to show for my efforts were two refusals? Since I arrived at the fishery at 4.15pm and now it was 7.15pm it was looking like I was going to blank!! then out of the blue a fish rose took the fly and spat it out all in the blink of an eye, but at least it showed promise, I then managed to lose a fish?? out of anxiety struck too soon - then just as I was packing up saw a fish cruising towards me, cast to it, set the hook and five minutes later had it in the net a lovely fish of 10lb-2ozs, photogaphed it and returned back into its own environment, packed up and went home with a smile on my face
