Come on people jump on board , it can only lead to good things and big fish

Typical Ireland though , "Why haven't we got .... ??? , Why can't we ....??? , Why isn't there.... ?? etc ..etc etc ..." Then when "it" is on offer everyone just seems to have upped and fkd off to Mars
Funny thing is though they will return and start complaining again the minute something disappears because of lack of interest .......

Good for you Stuart. I reckon Fly Fishing for Pike in Ireland has massive potential.

Lough Erne for example is over run with Pike at present and surely we could get some decent sport out of it.

Last year during the Ulster Trout Championships, my boat partner hooked and landed a 15lb Pike. He said it was the best fight he ever had from any fish.

Also last year I spent a week with my family on "Lough Erne" I squeezed in 1 hours fishing each evening for only 2 trout for the week. But on the last day of the holiday, I took the kids out for 45 minutes on the spinners. They had 3 pike up to 9lbs I should have been fly fishing for pike all week.

I would certainly be interested in joining Stuart.

There are literally hundred of lakes out there that are rarely fished for for pike. Especially those inaccessible ones that are screaming out for float tubes to be launched on em. Looking forward to meeting up with you guys and learning how to catch old esox on the fly. I only managed a few jacks so far. And Danny you have described Ireland exactly as it is. Complaints coupled with inaction. The story of nearly every fishing club. lol
