Is it just me or did anyone else find "Tying flies with CDC" by Links rather disappointing. This is in the sense that it doesn't really teach you how to tie flies with CDC.. In which case is there a nice book that can teach me?

Hi, I too was a bit disappointed that it wasn't very practical. But it was full of enthusiasm I guess!

What I have done is start with some of the CDC 'Step-by-steps' on this site (just browse down them and you come across quite a few) and a quick search on Google brings up plenty of others too. And the advantage is I can tie the flies I am likely to use, rather than have to stick to what's in a particular book.

CDC is a fabulous material to tie with, and I'm sure I get more on the hook because the fish dont feel the hackles as they do with other feathers....

Cheers, and good luck with it.
Stuart
