Old book about Monsal Dale
Hello,
I'm new to this forum and am hoping someone may be able to help me identify a book I remember reading many years ago. All I can tell you is that it was a book about fly-fishing in Derbyshire (principally Monsal Dale). It had a diagram of an exposed rim fly reel, purportedly invented by its author, and it also reproduced - possibly at the very back - the dressing of the 'Tailey-tail' black gnat pattern. I'm afraid I can't remember the author's name or the title.
I believe the book was originally published before WWII, but it may have dated back before WWI. My best guess is that it was published during the 1920s or 1930s.
Does anyone happen to recognise the book I have in mind?
Many thanks for reading this rather vague request!
