Default The Forgotten Flies of Roger Woolley

by John Watson

This book has remained tantalisingly just out of reach for a number of months now as Ken Smith Publishing seem to have held back the publication date.

Anyone have any news about if, as and when it might be published?

Received a cheque refund from France today for the return of monies due to the fact thay can't supply the book (yet?). I ordered one in the hope that I could ellicit more info. I did a small write up on my blog about this book suggesting that there were issues with the family on the flies. Still stand by that as I can't think of any other reason to hold up publication (apart from hype - which is now probably long overdue).
So am none the wiser and we all sit in hope!

Forgotten?

I think I've maybe got 3 of Woolley's Books and CYB at Macchynleth found them easily
( but it was 25 years ago admittedly ! )

And old Albert Brindley , the farmer from Barton in the Beans in Leicestershire bought up most of the residual stock of Woolley's flies in the late 80's and they weren't all that impressive it has to be said - even the ones tied by Roger himself ( most had been tied by his daughters I believe ! )

If you want to access my books give me a pm and we'll sort something out .

Best wishes

Steve P

It still hasn't been published I'm afraid. Though as you may or may not know, Coch Y Bonddu have recently taken over the publishing of Ken Smith books and so we are now pushing this through to get it finished.
