Default Rivers & Lochs of Scotland

I have just received my copy of the new edition of Bruce Sandison's Rivers and Lochs of Scotland. Beautifully produced in hardback, this fully updated and revised edition describes more than 5000 loch and river locations, complete with map references, access details, suggested flies and tactics. Essential reading for anyone planning a fishing trip in Scotland, the new edition will be in the shops from 3rd December, worth every penny of the £20 cover price (a bit less on Amazon). See:

Got mine, have not had a chance to digest it but first impressions are good.
For the visiting angler to Scotland & indeed any traveling angler in my fair country it is an invaluable reference tool.

Purely as an investment I am thinking of getting 2 ,one for working with and the other to lay down in a sealed bag to sell some 20 years down the line !

(If there was no wild fish already in) Can you imagine the amount of fish needed to fill that place to keep the punters happy?

I have an Uncle that lives at the bottom end of Shin, love that Loch, the burn that flows into it has some of the best fishing I have ever had. A hundred troot a day (if you could be arsed counting) would be a bad day. A couple of years ago i was hitting 2lb farmed salmon cast after cast in this burn. Bloody disgrace
