Default Casting at the Sun, Chris Yates

Has anyone read this and is it worth buying?

I have, and would recommend it, but then I'm a huge fan of Chris Yates and have bought most of his books.

Thoroughly recommend it. Ine of my favourite coarse fishing books. Go on treat yourself.

Yates is a fantastic writer. Also look out for recent publications Out of the Blue and How to Fish.

A wonderful book made even better by not having to listen to his awful twee Mr.Crabtree impersonation. Nothing he has written since has been in the same league.

Not as much as I should - I've fished the Thames more this year. I've got Calne and Amalgamated cards, but I've only fished the Avon once this season, last weekend. I fished the Christian Malford Amalgamated stretch hoping for big perch, but only managed a couple up to a pound on floatfished lobworms. I will go back soon, but it desperately needs some rain.

You're not wrong, i was out last weekend also hoping for some trotting but there was no flow to speak of higher up the river. I've not fished christian malford much but have had many good perch on the lower river, 3lb 8oz being my PB, on the fly too

P.S sorry to pinch the thread

Cheers,

G
