Default Keeper

New book to look out for by the new generation of river keepers. This book is by Martin "Donny" Donavan about his life so far on the River Test.It will be published shortly by Departure Publishing.Donny is also penning an article for the Wild Trout Trust.Yes I have fished on Donny's beats and can almost guarantee his thoughts will be worth a read.

If you could update us with the publication date, ISBN and all that kind of thing would be much obliged.

Loopy,
On the Departure Publishing website, it says publication date is spring 2011. If you click on "happenings" (I think that's American for latest news) and scroll down there are some details.
I cannot for the life of me work out how to put a link to the website on here!!
As JCP says, I too have fished for many years with Donny and have put some of his stories on this forum. I will try to find out some more info. He is fairly straight talking but has some great thoughts and ideas on chalkstream keeping - not all to the liking of the traditionalists. Seems strange that the book is being published in America.

Looks as if this could be a good link to The Keeper.

Anyone interested can asked to be included on a mailing list for further interest as and when.

Having a book published in the US is novel (no pun intended!).

Thanks Loopy,
On the site underneath the artwork is "Motorcycles and Fishing rods" one of the stories from the book and a bit more info. Still can't work out this link business.

Many thanks for the link. From reading a few of the stories posted on here by Reg and the one included in the link it has definitely gone onto my 'to buy' list.

Dear all,

I see that the book, "Keeper", is now up on the Departure Publishing website saying it will be released in Late May. Still can't work out the link thingy.

Last chance saloon for me attempting to post a link. Thanks to BRUCE1 if it works. If it doesn't, I told you I was stupid.
