SuirAngler is on a distinguished road
Default Hooked live Dublin 26 & 27 feb

Hooked Live! returns to Citywest from the 26th – 27th February 2011 and promises to be an even better event than last year with more tackle shops, venues, guides, celebrities and visitor activities than last year.

Visiting anglers will also be in with a chance to win superb prizes when they purchase their ticket either online or at the venue. We are delighted to have Paul Young and Henry Gilbey of TV fame back this year, they were an asset to the show and interacted well with visitors with their fishing tales and demonstrations.

For the serious angler there is a lot to keep you interested whether you are a game, coarse or sea fisher. We can boast some of the top angling tackle suppliers, angling instructors, guides and demonstrators from all over Ireland who will be on hand to answer any questions on tackle, techniques or choice of venue.

Hooked Live! has two lakes onsite, one which is stocked and used for the Lakes Fishing Challenge where fabulous prizes can be won, the other is used for casting demonstrations by some of the world’s top fly casters such as Scott McKenzie who always draws a crowd. Other celebrities include Peter O’Reilly, Mick McDaid, APGAI Ireland, Andrew Ryan, and World Gold Medal winner for Ireland John O’Brien.

Additionally the show this year will feature fly tying and rig clinics where visitors can learn how it’s done by some of the resident experts. This once again covers all disciplines game, coarse and sea fishing.

One of the biggest assets to this show is that everything is contained within Citywest Hotel Complex, visitors can stay the weekend and join in the after show entertainment where they can meet the celebrities and experts, get free advice and listen to the many fishy tales at the bar or in the reception areas.

Show director Mark Ryan expressed his delight this year at having attracted exhibits from Delphi Lodge, Mount Juliet and Lane Outdoors of Lane Minnow fame this is testament to achieving our objective of delivering a high quality show featuring the best of what angling in Ireland has to offer. For more information on the show visit Hooked.ie or see our page on Facebook.
