Default Hywel Morgan Day 27th September 2009

The time has come for our annual Hywel Morgan Day, to be held this year on Sunday 27th September starting at 0830

The venue will again be at Higham Lakes Trout Fishery, Near Ponteland, Northumberland

Everyone is welcome to attend to meet Hywel and see some of his amazing casting demonstrations, however we do offer a day package to anyone interested

The package costs £30 and includes
  • Days fishing (2 fish ticket and C&R)
  • Breakfast
  • Lunch
  • One to one tuition with Hywel
  • Entry into the casting competition (distance and accuracy) with prizes

Spaces for the full package are limited so if you are interested PM me ASAP

We will also have a stand with tackle available at special rates on the day

A raffle will be held in aid of Grace House North East Childrens Hospice Appeal and the Great North Air Ambulance. All donations for the raffle gratefully received!!

Should be a good day out. Hywel is an excellent caster, demonstrator and and is very good entertainment

We have held this day for the last 3 years now and it just gets better every year

Look forward to seeing you on the day

Good luck with the day Ian, I would love to be able to come but I am afraid it is a tad to far for me to travel in a day.

Steve.

Hywel Morgan Day.

Isn't that a Public Bank Holiday in Wales?

I must say that Hywel is both an excellent angler and a great coach. I particularly enjoyed his demonstration on how to play a seagull at Rutland a few years ago.

Default Hywel Morgan Day

There is no way I can get there but would have loved to. It is just too far from here. If we ever hold a day closer to Merseyside I will be very interested.

Good luck with the day, lads - maybe next time!!

I saw you at Fly-Only the other week & I was impressed Thanks

I was talking to you about Czech Nymphing on the Tweed, I caught quite a few small trout from the bank, but decided against wading for grayling etc as the water was 7ft higher than usual

...........Paul

if it works......below is a picture from the suspension bridge on the Dryburgh stretch
