Evenin' thrillseekers..

Seeing as I'm still 'invalid', and got a good few more weeks off work, I thought I'd try and supplement my paltry sick pay by tying and selling a few of these here buzzers.

Most of these patterns followed on from the 'Brancusi' buzzer, which was 'tied' for, and entered into last seasons 'Buzzer Challenge'. I wanted to suggest the pupal form in as pure and simple a way as possible. A slow build up of varnish, and the feintest hint of ink at the thorax complemented the Hayabusa profile in a very pleasing way. The combo of red ink and varnish gives a lovely glow, and when transmitted in the water brings light and life that suggests the surge of blood to the thorax as the buzzer ascends prior to hatching.

Anyway, that's enough of that nonsense.. I'm sure you all know your buzzer basics. Yes, they work! I caught many fish on this incarnation of the Brancusi right through last season - being particularly effective in March/April/May/Oct/Nov.

The 'Jelly Bean Buzzer'

Another 'minimalistic' suggestive approach. This one followed on from the Brancusi, but with a bit more meat on the bone, and bringing more colour and translucency to the full profile.

'Jelly Bean Buzzer' Available in sizes 10,12 or 14

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This series followed on from the 'Jelly Bean', with the addition of the cheeks/ 'wing buds' that appear and bulge on the natural prior to hatching, coupled with the surge of blood. Now we can get really specific with the colour combinations for when the fish get picky, or for those of you who wouldn't trust the simplicity of a 'Brancusi' !

Almost any colour combo you can think of is available, but for the purposes of ordering though, there are 2 main options to consider:

1 - Colour Scheme (Body & Wing Buds)

2 - Ribbed (Gap in the turns of Spanflex) or 'Solid Shuck'

Here's a few recent tyings.....

Even as a paying trade member I wouldn't have a problem with these being listed here or anywhere else on the forum for that matter, Scratch isn't a consistent seller, instead has a few weeks off work and decides to use that time to tie up some quite superb flees for the benefit of the forum members.

Where else can you buy flees of this quality for 80 pence each? I can't see how this can be worth his while financially and see it as more of a favour Scratch is doing for the members on here. Good on ya mate.

Tightlines!

The Pirate.
