Thumbs up PB 7lb Brown from Walthamstow today

Had a nice Rainbow of aboult 3lb on my second cast that took a dial bach, very next cast as the flies drifted in to the bank, hooked this brownie and he jumped as soon as he felt the hook.

Few minutes later took the pictures and returned it.

Took a size 14 claret cruncher. Well pleased, best grown on brown I've ever had!

Hiya Charlie,

Haven't been much lately, heard its been up and down though. Went three weeks ago and had 8 in the evening on cdc's. Then went the following evening and blanked!

On Sunday I got there around 3:30 and was on the way home at 7:00, the pressure got up and them big clouds were approaching. Didn't have another touch after the brown, so it all happened in the first 20 minutes...

Also, won the summer evening series and as result won a season ticket for the syndicate East Warwick resevoir where the fishing can be out of this world, a true gem. Second year on the trot I have a won a ticket, first year I won first prize in the Fur & Feather raffle!!!

Sorry to see you lost your mascot .

All the best

Vince

Wow, quite the matchman now then

Good to keep getting that ticket. I nearly joined the Warwick until a mate of mine told me he had blanked seven times in a row, so I tend to stick to Rib in the winter.

Yes, it was a terrible shame about Daisy, surprising how attached you can get to a bunch of feathers.............

@ Charlie,

I will find out if i can take a guest and bring you along one Saturday in the later part of the season if you fancy a go at the East Warwick. The fish really turn on to buzzers and sedges and certainly fancy the dries in the last hour or so. Just fish static and hold your rod parallel with the bank as they smash the flies hard....

@ Trout hunter

What really rounded of the day nicely, was about 20 minutes later a furious large brownie started jumping out of the water a few 100 m's out from the bank, and it more than certainly looked like the one I caught and very angry!
