Caught a couple of these last night on my club water here in Holland. I suspect its a Rudd or is it a Roach?

Pretty certain that's a Rudd. Stunning fins, colourwise I mean.

Fins look like rudd. Body colour looks like roach. Definitive diagnosis - we can't see the bottom lip. Was it like this (rudd):

>---,( */

or like this (roach)

>---,(*>

Rudd have a bottom lip which reminds me of Beaker

Some more shots would be nice; I've an idea that it could well be a roach/rudd hybrid.

Looks like a Rudd to me but again you need to see a picture of the mouth

Could be a Rudd but I think it is most likely a roach. Its also possible it is an
Ide... Or a Hybrid, Without a better pic and further details its difficult to say for sure...

thanks for your thoughts on this. I don't have a better pic I'm afraid. Only just managed to take this one without dropping my mobile phone in the water. I think the mouth was pointing upwards so most probably a rudd. If i manage to catch another one I'll take a closer look.

It is NOT a roach . It has a yellow eye ( Rudd ) and not and orange eye ( Roach )

Not saying it is 100% Rudd though , as has been said need a better picture for scale counts and to count the rays on the dorsal fin , but I am sure it is no Roach ............. I think

From the looks of that photo, it's a roach-rudd hybrid. You get plenty of them in my local canal.
