Default Waterproof Camera

Not sure if this is the right spot for this but here goes:

I've dropped my phone in the river once whilst taking pics and took a little dip in the Taff on Saturday, my 1 day old new phone looked like it had a short life but luckily started working ok after a couple of days.

Think it's about time I got a waterproof camera?

Anyone using one already or have any recommendations?

Thanks guys, reasonably priced as well, I'll go and track one down in the shops and have a closer look.

Any other ideas welcome from all.

I've had a few - pentax optio, olympus mju etc and at the end of last year got a panasonic lumix waterproof - the Panasonic beats the other ones I had hands down, but is a little more pricey - much quicker shutter speed, clear images and decent HD video. Well worth a look before you commit.

Think the issue is going to be tracking down somewhere where I can have a dabble with them all in the flesh; thanks for input.

What I'm after is simple, good quality, fast one handed pic taking; no frills necessary really but I'm a sucker for nice kit!

I use an Olympus Tough. Whilst I find its speed a little lacking, with the image quality set at its highest, it's proving a worthwhile addition.

Check Ebay - there are some deals out there... somewhere
