Good news in Scotland is that the lack of ice has kept the black death chomping stock fish in lochs and ponds and not wild ones in my river which they emptied last winter.

That's good to hear. Looks like both types of 'fishermen' are enjoying this winter. I guess the fish farmers do not share your joy though

Maybe not such 'good news' for the equally wild fish in places like Loch Leven

Fair point, were there more wild fish around on the Loch last season after the months of ice?

Will Smith at the Angling Trust would be interested in having a copy of those photos if you are happy to let him have them...

Hi peterd,Can you confirm your statement that you are not a fisherman. No big deal, and will not change my views of your excellent photos, but it would be nice to know.

Hi Jim,

I can confirm that I am not a fisherman but I do love wildlife (amongst other topics) and my camera which is a great tool to capture those moments.
I joined this website because I wanted to share some of my wildlife images with the fishing community. I know, from speaking to anglers, that we all share this common interest and it seemed right to join your community.
For those of you that are interested in seeing more then here is a link to my site.

Thanks for your kind comments.

Peter
