Default The Strike!

I don't seem to recall a thread about this but thought it could be quite interesting to start one.

If any of you where lucky enough to capture that moment when the fish takes your fly and you set the hook on camera maybe here could be the place to show the rest of us.

Just a thought as there are many other inspiring threads maybe this could inspire a few of you to get out with the camera to try and capture the strike! ..

Here's one from me to start us off, not great but this was a fish my dad (Bushy) struck into on the Tees this weekend (and yes, it did come off!)

Hope this could be the first of many... But hope it doesn't leave too many anglers on the bank waiting for what could be the only take of the day, and then missing it because someone's pointing a camera at them!

Kieron...

Great idea! Very difficult to capture though, especially in my case as I often fish alone. Trying to strike with one hand while holding a biggish camera in the other is bound to lead to disaster.

On a side-note . . . K Jenkins . . from Wales . . .wouldn't be the famous singer by any chance would it? Please say it is!

Here is a wild San Juan Rainbow before it knows it is hooked a split second before the strike. You can see the white wing post in the tip of its nose and a smaller fish just down stream.

Great pictures guys! I've enough problems hooking fish when giving them my full attention without fumbling around with a camera at the same time so well done on your double captures!
