Default OK, Photo Hosting? I'm fed up! Help!

I've always had problems with uploading photos! And in the past had all the text I'd prepared for posting wiped out while trying to upload photos! I've tried "Photobucket FREE" but cannot seem to work out how to use it - so I've deleted it from the computer! I've also tried FRICKR, but that's not compatible with Internet Explorer! So I'm using IMAGESHACK! Sometimes, if I'm lucky, I'll be able to post some photos on the Internet (Fishing Forums) but it's a bit of a tongue in cheek Task!! very slow and risky! I wrote an article today of some proportion, managed to upload some photos (Very slowly) a couple of hours work! Then, at almost the final upload, Imageshack had a Gateway out of time, well that should have been no problem as I'd had the text on the forum Tabbed! But, and this occurs quite often! I had the bubble message saying : This Tab Has Been Recovered!! You can guess the rest? That's right, all my work gone and unable to recover any text or photos tabbed in the forum reply section! This has happened several times, including a couple of times today! Is it Imigeshack or Internet Explorer that's wiping out all my work before it can be posted?

Any help or suggestions?

What is WinSoftMagic, Inc. - Advanced JPEG Compressor - Photo Hosting - WinRemotePC. Compress, Resize, Edit, Convert JPEG Photos like? Anyone use it; and is it any good?

Would need to be something simple to use!

Thanks

Mostyn

I'm guessing you don't know how to use a ftp client?

If not I can talk you through setting one up, then I will set up an account for you on my server.

Then all you do is upload your photo via ftp, then add the link to your posts.

Ok, I've set up an upload system so you don't have to worry about ftp.

try it out, simply upload a picture then post a reply adding an image to see if you can do it.

The link to upload is Test - Powered By phUploader

And the result is

Mostyn,
You do not need to download anything to your computer, all you need it web based. Have you registered with photobucket.com? If so, what step do you get stuck at?

You nearly had it. Your 2 photos were uploaded.

After you upload the photo you are presented with this screen
Click the image to open in full size.

Left click your mouse over the http, keeping your left mouse button clicked, drag your mouse to highlight the complete url, when all the url is highlighted, hover your mouse over the highlighted bit and right click your mouse and select "Copy"

Go to where you want to post your pics and then click on the "insert image" icon (it's a yellow box with mountains and a sun, this will open a box, delete what is in the box, then hover your mouse in the box and right click your mouse and select "paste"

Alternative method. Once you have uploaded the pics which you can do, go to here Index of /test/images

You will see a list of image files, click on the 1st one of yours. in your browser in the address line you will see http://www.lvlacleod/test/images/P4180173.jpg

highlight the address and hover your mouse over the highlight, right click your mouse and select "copy"

and then follow the steps for making a post and pasting the address.

Then do the same for the 2nd pic

Obviously this will only work if you have 2 browsers open so you can switch between here and the browser with the images.

Give it another try and if it works send me a pm and I will set up your own webspace with a password so only you can upload.

Ctrl+C & Ctrl&V will only work if you actually highlight something, in this case the address line

Here are your pics by the way
Click the image to open in full size.

I was testing the password function. Close the browser and then reopen.
