Default Western Isles

Went to the Isle of Barra in the Western Isles to spend Easter with Family and managed a few days fishing also. The water is gin clear and has plenty of hungry but small trout.

Most of the fish are around this size;

Again on this Loch most of the trout are 6-8 oz. On both Loch's the best fly was the Peter Ross wet fly, but also caught a few on one of Beacon Beige's dry flies (size 16 f-fly with green body and CDC). Great to be fishing in such a wild unspoilt place even if the fish are small.
Cheers Diarmid.
