Default My 8 year old with a nice over wintered fish

Because it was the last day of the school holidays today my lad wanted me to take him fishing.
So we went to a little fishery close to me and fished buzzers.
He had a few fish with a little help from his dad topped off with this beauty.

Around 4 1/2lb of solid silver.

And it went back to fight another day.

He still has a grin on his face now

I like your baby sitting technique Toby.
I have used that same trick myself.

munro, most stillwaters down here stock BIG fat tailless pigs then charge you anywhere from 50 to 120 quid for the "privilege". i have been very lucky this season and managed to get a season rod on a little known, very lightly stocked chalkstream local to myself.it has a good head of wild fish and it is very reasonable. there is one fishery local to me that has a 5 acre catch and release lake and it is very challenging and if i am not on the rivers then i will have a couple of days a season on there. big long lean browns and a few even bigger meaner, leaner rainbows. oh and they don't allow the blob brigade.. now i am donning my tin hat. ATB jon.

Thumbs up The new 'screen saver' on you computer.

That kind of smile makes all the (fishing) 'darn it's' count for nothing.
