Today was the first time I had a chance to get down to Killarney to have a few hours on the water...
Took a boat out from Sean Sweeney on 'Sweeney's Shore' and headed down toward the 'Metal Man' you can just make it out in the middle of the picture...
Drifted onto the reeds just before the Black Stones and managed to pick up this little fella...
'Benson's Point' and 'Brown Island' were calling...
Motored across and saw that the wind was ripping around Bensons Point and tried a drift close to the shore brining me into the lee of the point and met these....

The fish in the second pic was one of the best from today, had 7 to the boat and moved and missed as many again. All returned safely, hopefully to meet again in a few weeks
A great few hours and with always the chance of a good fish but the scenery on this lake makes me come back again and again...

(Carrountohill, the highest point in Ireland in the background)
Until my next trip

You looked things over and were not yet beat
Then changed flies again and were ready to repeat
The next try was poor because you rushed the cast
You hold your breath in solemn anticipation
You must be a fly fisherman!
