Default Mullet on the Fly

I was lucky enough in 2009 to go fishing for mullet in the Uk with friends.

Using a Sage tcx, 2 flies. Amazing experience to have a mullet caught on the fly.

Hi Bigtrout

we used sugar cube and rabbit fur flies....i've seen people use flies like yours, this year i will be trying various methods....will keep you updated.

the most frustrating part fishing for mullet is that they can look at your fly, a slight touch and then they swim off as if they know its not real.

one of the most exciting types of fishing i took part in last year. I'm so lucky to have some very good friends.

Hi Bigtrout,

yep its v spookey, its all down to technique, casting a nice straight line. Seeing showls of mullet coming into the estuary is amazing. Last time i fished for them there was salmon jumping too. But being outside in our beautiful countryside, enjoying the fresh air and with a fishing rod is just fantastic. I'm off casting now...Cheerio
