Going to take it on the river next season, can't wait as it roll casts great.
If you don't buy one for yourself tell dad you lost it.

Yes guys light rods are great fun, not really seen the light mate i normally use a 9' 5# which is very much middle action

Yesterday with the old fellas 8' 3/4# was really just an experiment as ive a Vision cult 9' 3# on route for me

after yesterday im convinced it will make a superb float tubing rod and river rod
Not planning on using it through the winter for stockie bashing , keep my 9' 5# or 6# for that. Personally i think SO many guys are missing out using heavier rods, spoke to a guy once who "only fishes a 3 acre still water" his favorite rod was a 10' 8#

to me thats salmon/pike/ shark weight

over kill ?
Best fish on my 9' 6# cortland was 9lb 11 oz and it went like a frieght train ! not a problem no need for a 8# !! just know how to play a fish off the reel and how to turn them etc.
Personally i would'nt use such a light rod (3/4#) for C & R, not than im a big fan of C & R on small still waters any way.............................
