Cracking photos those Graham, obviously very trusting.
I had a sparrow hawk on the back lawn this morning, it had a sparrow in its talons, and the poor thing was just sitting there wondering what the hell was going on.
The hawk began plucking it alive, ripping feathers from around its head.
My first reaction was to open the back door and scare it off, natural I suppose, but I then realized, it was doing what it's bred to do, and to interfere with nature, is not a wise move, normally.
We fortunately are inundated with sparrows here, so no great loss.
A magical sight to see so close up. I didn't have time to grab a camera, and it eventually took off to dispatch its prey somewhere else.
