Default New Toy

Lovely Wild Brownie from the local brook last Sunday. Caught on my new toy a Hardy Flyweight 6ft 2#. Grommit described this to me as awesome which at the time I thought was a sales pitch! Not dissapointed at all crisp and precise and also nice and soft when playing fish. Delighted! thanks Ian.

Nice looking outfit. I was considering the LRH 9' 5#. Have you tried that particular model?

I bet he put it down very carefully, just like the fish.
Nice one Mark, and the rod looks good as well.

Of course the rod was placed, as the fish, very carefully, after all it is my new baby!

I am also fortunate to have a bit wider river to fish as part of the club water. Generally the fishing is easier than the stream but it's lovely wilderness fishing with light lines and tackle that appeals from time to time. This was one of six fish caught and returned in that particular session. All taken on a dry beetle imitation with 3lb tippet.
Fantastic fishing!
