Default May P.O.M. Voting

Evenin' thrillseekers....

Time to get the voting under way for May Picture of the Month.

Visitors/guest judges at Scratch lodge this month who chose the final 10 images were... Jason the plumber, members of South Manchester Amatuer Operatic Society (social comittee), our EON meter reader, and me mam

Jason the plumber, and the Eon meter man both asked me to mention that although they loved all the wildlife shots that were submitted, many of them were only interesting from a documentary point of view. They felt that most were lacking in several departments in order to progress to the 'final'.... crop too tight/no context, poorly exposed, too 'soft', bad framing, padestrian composition/lack of drama and general ability to hold attention.

Anyway, some stunners made it through... feast yer beady little mincers on this lot and cast yer vote....

Hiya .. Am I allowed a vote , I'm just new here ?

I'll have a try .....

Every one of those photo's is amazing... real stunning stuff !
I'd like to put a vote in for Pic #1 by Chris the Fish ... mostly because I have a lot of admiration for the photography of Ansel Addams, who nearly always worked in the medium of Black & White, and Chris' picture has echoes of Ansels work.. its great !

Thanks !

Ed

My word, how difficult is it!!

great bunch here, Mrs Kale has it, there were 4 or so i was um-ing and ar-ing over but the frozen water and crisp reflection did it for me in the end.

Cheers all

Chris

Very difficult to choose between Chris the Fish and Steves Mrs.I'm a total sucker for a fish jumping shot though so Steve's Mrs edges it for me.

No5 has my vote! Stunning piece of photography with the framing, timing and sharpness. Brilliant. I didn't even vote for myself!

Got to ask- where, when & what equipment?

Cheers

Very hurt Scratch that my badly exposed and poorly taken shot of Spirit of the woods didn't get to the final.
However, Mrs Kale gets my vote, all stunning shots mind you, and all worthy winners.
Off to sulk now.

Nice to see my photo in the top ten considering I'm only really a point, shoot and cross my fingers kind of photographer. I'd best not vote for myself though. Number 4 gets my vote.
